Dr. Charles Naumer has over 25 years of experience managing software businesses and has founded three successful Software-as-a-Service companies. The majority of his career has been spent working with social sector organizations to improve their ability to deliver services.
In addition to his work to develop high quality, reliable software he is also an active researcher and has published in the fields of information communication technologies, the digital divide, information behavior and sense-making. In addition to his interest in technology for the social sector, he is also committed to public service.
He is currently a trustee and past-Chair for the Jefferson County Public Library and President-elect for the Anchor Center for Blind Children. He was appointed by the Governor’s office to serve on the Colorado Disability Funding Committee which accepts and reviews proposals and funds projects or programs that study or pilot new and innovative ideas that will lead to an improved quality of life or increased independence for persons with disabilities.
Dr. Naumer holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of Washington, a Masters degree in Public Policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor’s degree in economics from Pomona College.
He lives in Evergreen Colorado, in the foothills of the Rockies, with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys hiking, camping, biking and skiing in beautiful Colorado.
